Getting references after a company closes (Albuquerque)

My manager was laid off too and I am unsure who to use as a reference. I have been trying to stay organised about it. A colleague offered to vouch for me. Is a client acceptable?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Use a professional network to find a former manager. Many will still write a note.
