Getting references after a company closes after 8 years as a software tester

My manager was laid off too and I am unsure who to use as a reference. Thank you in advance. I have one former client who liked my work.

Use a professional network to find a former manager. Many will still write a note.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
