Getting references after a company closes after 15 years as a production planner

I worry a reference will only confirm dates of employment. I worked as a production planner before this. I have one former client who liked my work. Who did you use?

A client reference worked well for me. It shows you deliver outside the company too.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
