Getting references after a company closes

I worry a reference will only confirm dates of employment. I am in Minneapolis, in case local advice matters. I have one former client who liked my work.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I kept a note of my results so my references could be specific. They appreciated it.
