Getting references after a company closes - 4 months and counting

Dara Adeyemi · 2026-06-19T08:02:17.895Z

The company closed and I am not sure how to reach former colleagues. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. HR only confirms titles and dates. How do you ask politely?

I kept a note of my results so my references could be specific. They appreciated it.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
