Getting references after a company closes - 4 months and counting

Malaika Voss · 2026-08-28T02:58:28.914Z

I worry a reference will only confirm dates of employment. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. HR only confirms titles and dates. Is a client acceptable?

Use a professional network to find a former manager. Many will still write a note.
