My résumé shows a gap from a layoff and some health issues. It has been weighing on me all week. I have done some volunteering and a course during that time. What do you say in interviews?

Keep your skills fresh and mention anything recent. It shows momentum.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
