Explaining a gap after caregiving or layoff (Pittsburgh)

I have been out of work for 4 months and worry about the gap. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am nervous about being filtered out. Did anyone get past it?

I was hired after a 4-month gap. The manager said the skills test mattered more than the dates.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
