Explaining a gap after caregiving or layoff - first time posting

I have been out of work for 2 months and worry about the gap. I am nervous about being filtered out. How did you handle it on your résumé?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
