Explaining a gap after caregiving or layoff after 5 years as a school bus driver

My résumé shows a gap from a layoff and some health issues. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am nervous about being filtered out. Did anyone get past it?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
