Explaining a gap after caregiving or layoff after 17 years as an insurance claims processor

I took time out to care for a family member after working as an insurance claims processor. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am not sure how much to explain.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
