Explaining a gap after caregiving or layoff after 16 years as a bank teller

I have been out of work for 4 months and worry about the gap. I am not sure how much to explain. Did anyone get past it?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
