Explaining a gap after caregiving or layoff

I took time out to care for a family member after working as a warehouse supervisor. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am not sure how much to explain.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
