Explaining a gap after caregiving or layoff - 12 weeks in

I have been out of work for 10 months and worry about the gap. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am nervous about being filtered out. How did you handle it on your résumé?

A short, honest line such as 'family caregiving' is enough for most employers. They mostly want to know you are ready now.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
