Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 10 months as a mechanic and I am unsure whether to accept. It has been weighing on me all week. The contract could extend.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
