Contract work or permanent, which would you take? (update)

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
