Contract work or permanent, which would you take? (update)

I got a contract offer for 5 months as an insurance claims processor and I am unsure whether to accept. It has been weighing on me all week. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
