Contract work or permanent, which would you take? (Tampa)

I got a contract offer for 5 months as a procurement assistant and I am unsure whether to accept. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
