Contract work or permanent, which would you take?, security officer here

I got a contract offer for 6 months as a security officer and I am unsure whether to accept. Thank you in advance. The contract could extend. How did you handle benefits?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
