Contract work or permanent, which would you take?, school bus driver here

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have 13 months of savings left. What would you do?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
