Contract work or permanent, which would you take?, insurance claims processor here

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. There are 11 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have 14 months of savings left. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
