Contract work or permanent, which would you take? (Atlanta)

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. Any experience at all would help. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
