Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - any advice?

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I worked as a welding apprentice before this. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
