Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - any advice?

I got a contract offer for 5 months as a project coordinator and I am unsure whether to accept. It has been a long 8 weeks. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
