Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - any advice?

I got a contract offer for 15 months as a hotel front-desk agent and I am unsure whether to accept. There are 15 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
