Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - any advice?

I got a contract offer for 4 months as an operations analyst and I am unsure whether to accept. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
