Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - any advice?

I got a contract offer for 7 months as a dental hygienist and I am unsure whether to accept. It has been weighing on me all week. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
