Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 9 years as a call-centre agent

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have 9 months of savings left.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
