Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 7 years as a payroll clerk

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I am in Little Rock, in case local advice matters. The contract could extend.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
