Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 6 years as an accounts payable clerk

I got a contract offer for 6 months as an accounts payable clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as an accounts payable clerk before this. I have 9 months of savings left. How did you handle benefits?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
