Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 6 years as a home health aide

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
