Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 4 years as a warehouse supervisor

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
