Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 4 years as a bookkeeper

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have 8 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
