Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 15 years as a hotel front-desk agent

I got a contract offer for 15 months as a hotel front-desk agent and I am unsure whether to accept. There are 15 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have 11 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
