Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 11 years as a social media manager

I got a contract offer for 11 months as a social media manager and I am unsure whether to accept. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
