Contract work or permanent, which would you take? after 11 years as a copywriter

I got a contract offer for 11 months as a copywriter and I am unsure whether to accept. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
