Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - 9 months and counting

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a store manager and I am unsure whether to accept. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
