Contract work or permanent, which would you take?

I got a contract offer for 11 months as an office manager and I am unsure whether to accept. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have 2 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
