Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - 24 weeks in

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a sales associate and I am unsure whether to accept. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
