Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - 14 months and counting

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have 14 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
