Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - 11 weeks in

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have 12 months of savings left. How did you handle benefits?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
