Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - 10 weeks in

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
