Contract work or permanent, which would you take? - 10 weeks in

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I am in Buffalo, in case local advice matters. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
