Changing careers at 9 years into a job, is it realistic? after 9 years as an HR coordinator

After 9 years as an HR coordinator I am thinking about moving into a different field. I worked as an HR coordinator before this. My family is supportive but nervous. How did you start?

I took a small pay cut for a year, and it was worth it for the growth afterwards.
