Changing careers at 7 years into a job, is it realistic? - 24 weeks in

After 7 years as an HR coordinator I am thinking about moving into a different field. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets. How did you start?

Try a small project in the new field before committing. It told me a lot about whether I would enjoy it.
