Changing careers at 7 years into a job, is it realistic? - 2 weeks in

After 7 years as a bank teller I am thinking about moving into a different field. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. My family is supportive but nervous.

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 10 months.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
