Changing careers at 5 years into a job, is it realistic? after 5 years as a recruiter

After 5 years as a recruiter I am thinking about moving into a different field. Any experience at all would help. I have a little time and a small budget for training. Did you take a pay cut?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
