Changing careers at 5 years into a job, is it realistic? - 14 weeks in

After 5 years as a hotel front-desk agent I am thinking about moving into a different field. I have a little time and a small budget for training. Did you take a pay cut?

I began with informational chats, then a short online course, then a related entry-level role. It took about 14 months.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
