Changing careers at 4 years into a job, is it realistic? - any advice?

I want to move from accountant to something with more stability. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have good customer skills and I am comfortable with spreadsheets.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
