Changing careers at 18 years into a job, is it realistic? - first time posting

My layoff made me rethink whether to stay in my field. I am in Boise, in case local advice matters. My family is supportive but nervous. Has anyone made a similar move?

You likely have more transferable skills than you think. Write down what you did, not what the job title said.
